Board of Advisors

AsianHate

BOA is dedicated to ending Anti-Asian Hate on Campus.

Board of Advisors Internship

The Board of Advisors is a year-long internship program existing for many years (Board of Directors) before it was put on hold Spring 2020 due to the pandemic. After initial assessment, APASA decided to revamp the Board of Directors to Board of Advisors in Fall 2023 to focus on educational programs while building professional and personal development for interns who participate in the internship program.   Through experiential learning, interns build leadership, communication, and activism skills. The Board of Advisors programming series builds intentional relationships with our campus and community partners to educate about APIDA cultures and fight against anti-Asian hate.

The Board of Advisors Internship program is a year long undergraduate internship that works in collaboration with Asian Pacific American Students Affairs to help students:

  • Develop APIDA cultural exploration initiatives
  • Explore current issues that affect the APIDA community
  • Assist with the expansion of the Asian Pacific American studies minor
  • Create and connect students with resources to combat anti Asian hate
